An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
